Welcome to the HealthNet Critical Care Review Course!
This 12-week distributive-hybrid, online course will be an exploration of principles related to critical care transport, safety, resuscitation (including airway), trauma and burns, medical emergencies (including pharmacology), and special populations. This course is delivered by the University of Vermont Health Network: Critical Care Transport, and is supported by current, evidence-based medical facts that allow for a multi-purpose application, i.e. certification in an advanced specialty, new and current knowledge acquisition, and clinical practice application. The course is delivered via the UVMMC HealthNet Emerge LMS over 12 weeks. The course will be delivered in weekly blocks, with discussion posts education modules, optional research papers, test-taking strategies, and periodic knowledge assessment sessions within each week. Each week will be self-paced, with required participation on weekly discussion boards. All discussion boards will be compulsory to pass this course. There are two hands-on skills days that are required for the successful completion of this course. This course prepares learners to sit for the FP-C, CCP-C, CFRN, or CTRN and supports the transition to practice utilizing currently practicing critical care providers.
