Is Anyone Else Concerned?
It was a dark and stormy night when Debbie went into labor. She had been feeling contractions for hours, but as the storm raged on, her contractions became more intense and frequent. Her husband, John, tried to drive her to the hospital, but the roads were too dangerous, and they had to pull over at a gas station.
As Debbie writhed in pain, John frantically called 911, but the operator told him it would take at least thirty minutes for an ambulance to arrive due to the weather conditions. John felt helpless as he watched his wife’s pain intensify, and he knew they didn’t have that much time.
He remembered watching something about emergency births on Netflix but had no idea what to do. Debbie begged him to help her, and with no other option, he stepped up to the challenge.
John did his best to stay calm despite the chaos around him, and finally, after what felt like an eternity, the baby arrived. John held his newborn baby, his heart racing with relief and joy. But the moment was short-lived when he realized something was wrong. The baby wasn’t crying or moving.
