The Sites are comprised of various web pages operated by FlightBridgeED, LLC. (““FlightBridgeED””). The Sites are offered to you (“You” or the “User”) conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein (the “Terms””). Your use of the Sites constitutes your agreement to the Terms.

By using the Sites, you acknowledge that Your adherence to each provision in this Terms is critical for maintaining the safe, secure, inclusive, and educational atmosphere that FlightBridgeED seeks to promote on the Sites, and You agree that Your violation of any of the Terms constitutes a material breach of these Terms. If you breach the Terms, FlightBridgeED reserves the right to pursue all remedies allowed under law and equity, including but not limited to revoking your right to use the Sites. Please read these terms carefully, and keep a copy of them for your reference.

FlightBridgeED operates E-Commerce websites.

FlightBridgeED provides advanced certification test preparation education and study success tools for a variety of pre-hospital, critical care, and emergency medical credentials including, but not limited to, Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C), Certified Flight Nurse (CFRN®), Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C), Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN®), Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN®). FlightBridgeED also provides fully accredited continuing education courses (with associated universally accepted CE hours) for advanced certification holders, as described above, which are also applicable for national and state certification and licensure renewal. Please always consult and refer to your specific state CE guidelines and CE hour requirements. Lastly, FlightBridgeED also provides free open access medical education (foamED) at no cost and as-is to all who are interested in learning more about advanced critical care topics.

PRIVACY

Your use of the Sites is subject to FlightBridgeED’s Privacy Policy. Please review the most current Privacy Policy, which also governs the Sites and informs Users of FlightBridgeED’s data collection, data retention, and data security practices. This policy is available for access in the footer of any of the Sites and uniformly applies to all sites maintained by FlightBridgeED.

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

Visiting the Sites, sending emails to FlightBridgeED, and using the Site’s integrated chat function each constitutes an electronic communication (each an “Electronic Communication System”). By using the Sites, You consent to receive electronic communications from FlightBridgeED and its affiliates, and You further agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that are provided to You electronically, via email, and on the Site, satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

FlightBridgeED expects and requires that all Users (including You) will maintain appropriate decorum and decency when using the Sites, communicating with FlightBridgeED staff members, and/or when using any Electronic Communications System. Any use of abusive, obscene, or threatening language constitutes a breach of these Terms. Any User who sends any message containing language that is abusive, obscene, or threatening (in FlightBridgeED’s sole discretion) via any Electronic Communications System may be subject to any penalty allowed under law or equity, including but not limited to the immediate deactivation of their User Account(s) (defined below), forfeiture of access to any and all FlightBridgeED websites (including FlightBridgeED operated Learning Management Systems (“LMS”) including any formerly purchased online courses hosted on the Sites) without notice and without refund. This policy is implemented at the sole discretion of FlightBridgeED and may not be appealed.

  • Biographical and professional information, association affiliation, demographic data, and financial information.
  • Information responsive to polls, or surveys disclosed in applications for employment or required in order to provide information about our business, employment, products, or services.
  • Transactional information based on your activities on the FlightBridgeED website, or the website/apps owned and operated by our partners (please note that extended Terms of Use and Privacy Policies may apply to websites that are not wholly owned and operated by FlightBridgeED, LLC.)
  • Shipping, ordering, billing, and other similar information you provide to purchase or to ship an item(s), or services.
  • Community discussions such as chats, dispute resolution, correspondence through the website, MailChimp, or other similar third-party services that FlightBridgeED, LLC. uses to perform business that is usual and customary, and any correspondence sent to us via any communication method (written, audio, physical media, etc. – which may then be housed on another storage medium i.e. Hand-written correspondence may be scanned and stored on digital storage mediums, audio that is expressly identified as being legally recorded, or submitted to FlightBridgeED, LLC., or our partners may also be copied and stored on a variety of digital storage mediums, etc.)
  • Computer sign-on data, time and date data, statistics on page views, your IP address, your GPS location, the type of computing environment you use, and traffic to and from the FlightBridgeED Website (including data about you whenever you interact with the FlightBridgeED Website, or the websites of our partners – which includes search data, clicks on links, sent messages, comments both private and public, replies or queries, etc.)
  • Other technical information, or data collected from FlightBridgeED website, or partner, sponsor, and vendor website traffic, including IP address and standard web log information and information gathered from cookies, beacons, and other mechanisms.
  • Supplemental, or additional information we may request from you in the event that previous information you’ve provided cannot be verified
  • Your content and any other information that you choose to make available via the FlightBridgeED website, the websites of our partners, or information and content that other users of these websites share about you.

    THIRD PARTIES

    We typically work with third-party advertisers, networks, and service providers who assist us in managing, or providing services (such as payment processing, and newsletter campaign management/mailing list management) and these third parties sometimes collect some of the information provided above. These third parties also help us understand how users interact with our content and offerings. We may also collect contextual, or demographic information/data about our users from third parties, in order to deliver our products and services (including FAST). Unless you have been notified otherwise, all information collected through our authorized third-party services remains governed by security and confidentiality obligations consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

    USING OTHER SITES TO LOGIN INTO OUR WEBSITE OR SERVICES

    Some users may choose to connect to the FlightBridgeED website, or to the websites of our partners, using third-party account credentials (ie. Facebook, Google, YouTube, etc). If you choose to connect your account using a third-party account, you understand that some of your information may also be subject to separate policies of such third parties. You should review those policies before providing consent. Connecting your account to third-party applications or services is OPTIONAL. You can revoke this permission anytime in your account settings.

    ADVERTISEMENTS

    Some of our services allow advertisers and their networks to collect and use certain anonymous information about you (such as your browser type, clicked links, time and date of access, etc.) in order to provide advertisements of interest to you.     How we use your information will depend on which service(s) you are using. The primary reason we collect information is to provide and improve our services, manage your account and subscription services, and provide you with a more customized experience in our services.

    Certain services offered are social by nature, so your participation in such a service will allow others to see your name and/or username, profile picture, social profile, and any other content that you upload, or disclose through that profile.

You acknowledge and agree that as between You and FlightBridgeED, FlightBridgeED is not responsible for the contents of any Linked Site, including without limitation any link contained in a Linked Site, or any changes or updates to a Linked Site. FlightBridgeED is providing these links to You only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by FlightBridgeED of the site or any association with its operators.

    THE SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

    Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and information by selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanisms appropriately. To help protect your information, you should not share your account information, or password, reuse your password on other sites, or use a password that you have used on other sites. We suggest using a strong password with capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. We also highly discourage using personally identifiable information such as birthdates, address components, anniversaries (etc.)

    WHERE YOUR INFORMATION IS HELD

    In order to provide services, the information that we collect from you may be transferred to and stored at a destination outside of your country. It may also be processed by any service providers appointed by us who operate outside of your country and their staff. By submitting your data, you agree to this transfer, storing, and processing outside your country and acknowledge that not all countries guarantee the same level of protection for your information as the one in which you reside. We provide a voluntary service; you can choose whether or not you want to use our services or the services of our partners. FlightBridgeED primarily uses services and infrastructure bases in the United States in order to deliver service to you. As such, we may need to transfer your information to the United States and to other jurisdictions as necessary to provide services.

    Where we rely on legitimate interests as a basis for information processing, you have the right to object. We may process your personal data for the purposes of our legitimate interests or for the legitimate interests of our partners, or other third parties, provided that such processing shall not outweigh your rights and freedoms.     • Protect you, protect FlightBridgeED, or FlightBridgeED staff and others from threats (such as security threats, or Fraud)
    • Comply with Laws that apply to us.
    • Process Continuing Education Units / Hours (CEUs)
    • Enable, or administer our business, such as for quality control, consolidated reporting, and customer service.
    • Manage corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions
    • Understand and improve our business, or customer relationships generally
    • Enable us and our users to connect with each other, view content, express opinions, exchange information, and conduct business.

    WHAT INFORMATION YOU CAN ACCESS

    Through your account settings on the FlightBridgeED website, you may access, edit, or delete information that you have provided and your record of interactions with FlightBridgeED. Such information and interactions, and your ability to update them may vary from service to service (some of this is due to regulatory requirements – ie. This is most apparent when dealing with Continuing Education submission).

    You do have the right to access and control your information – You can request that your information be deleted, modified, or corrected, Object to, or Limit the use of information (if we have no legal right to use it), you can also ask us to access your information and you can ask for a copy of the information you provided in machine-readable form.     You have the ability to limit information using certain tools on your browser, or device. You may be able to add, update, or delete the information as explained above, however, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information for our records. Please note that some information may remain in our records for legitimate business reasons even after you delete it, such as our analyzing aggregated data regarding past usage of our service(s), or the service(s) of our partners. If you don’t want to receive email or other communications from us, you can adjust your email preferences from your account, or opt-out by clicking the link provided in emails.     ACCOUNT CLOSURES

After it is no longer necessary for us to retain your information, we will dispose of it in a secure manner according to our data retention and deletion policies except as noted in this privacy policy.

    HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION

    We generally retain your information as long as reasonably necessary to provide you services, or to comply with applicable law. However, even after you deactivate your account, we can retain copies of information about you and any transactions or services in which you have participated for a period of time that is consistent with applicable law, the statute of limitations, or as we believe is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, to detect, or prevent fraud, to collect fees owed, to resolve disputes, to address problems with our services, to assist with investigations, or to enforce applicable agreements and/or policies not to take any other actions consistent with applicable law.

      In addition, if you are a California resident, the CCPA grants you the right to request certain information about our practices with respect to California Information. In particular, you can request the following:

      Upon request we will delete the California Information we have collected about you, except for situations when that information is necessary for us to: provide you with a product, or service that you requested; perform a contract we entered into with you, maintain the functionality or security of our systems; comply with, or exercise rights provided by law; or use the information internally in ways that are compatible with the context in which you provided the information to us, or that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us.

      YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK US NOT TO SELL YOUR CALIFORNIA INFORMATION

      You can always tell us not to sell your California Information.

      Once we receive and process your request, we will not sell your California Information unless you later allow us to do so. Typically, FlightBridgeED does not sell any of your information as a general rule.

      DO NOT TRACK NOTICE

      We do not currently take actions to respond to Do Not Track signals and similar signals because a uniform technology standard has not yet been developed. We continue to review new technologies and may adopt a standard once one is created.

      OUR SUPPORT FOR THE EXERCISE OF YOUR DATA RIGHTS

      We are committed to providing you control over your California Information. If you exercise any of these rights explained in this section of the Privacy Policy, we will not disadvantage you. You will not be denied, or charged different prices, or rates for goods, or services, or provided a different level, or quality of goods, or services.

      CONSUMERS UNDER THE AGE OF 16

      CCPA has specific rules regarding the use of California Information from consumers under 16 years of age. In particular, consistent with the CCPA, if we knowingly collected the California Information of a consumer under the age of 16, we will not sell the information unless we receive affirmative permission to do so from a verifiable parent, or guardian. If the consumer is between the ages of 13 and 16 years of age, the consumer may provide that permission based on CCPA guidelines, but FlightBridgeED will still pursue the consent of a verifiable parent, or guardian.

      GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

      To comply with the GDPR, we can appoint a representative which can accept communications on behalf of FlightBridgeED, our partner. If you wish for us to assign such a representative, please contact us by email at [email protected].

      LEGAL DISCLOSURES

      It is possible that we will need to disclose information about you when required by law, subpoena, or other legal processes, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (1) Investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government agencies; (2) enforce our agreements with you, (3) investigate and defend ourselves against any third party claims, or allegations, (4) protect the security, or integrity of our service(s), or the service(s) of our partners; or (5) exercise or protect the rights and safety of FlightBridgeED, our partners, our users, personnel, or others. We attempt to notify users about legal demands for their personal data when appropriate in our judgment unless prohibited by law, or court order when the request is an emergency. We may dispute such demands when we believe, in our discretion, that the requests are excessive, vague, or lack of proper authority, but we cannot guarantee that FlightBridgeED and our partners will challenge every demand.
