Workshops are one of the best reasons to attend FAST23! These limited-capacity pre-conference workshops showcase hands-on learning experiences from celebrated educators and thought pioneers in critical care worldwide.
How the Workshops work
Workshop Sessions
Workshops are 4 hours long (unless otherwise specified) and broken into 2 sessions – Morning and Afternoon – so that you can extend your hands-on experience by having the option to attend 2 Workshops.
Purchase a Ticket
Workshops require a separate ticket purchase and your FAS23 Badge purchase to attend. This helps us keep the prices down for the conference and allows you to customize your experience with us in a way that interests you.
Tickets can be purchased when you purchase your FAST23 (click here to purchase FAST23 tickets) or can be added later. Access to the Workshop classroom will require verification of your FAST23 Badge and Workshop ticket. Before making any FAST23 ticket purchase, please understand that ALL SALES ARE FINAL, and no refunds or transfers will be issued.

Certified Flight Communicator Course

The Certified Flight Communicator Course is a 2-day certification developed for communication specialists in the Air Medical industry. Topics covered include Flight Following and Navigation, Map Reading skills, Aviation weather, Post Accident / Incident Plans, Stress Management, Public Relations, and Medical Terminology, to name a few. After completing the exam, status as a Certified Flight Communicator is earned.

CADAVER LAB (Morning Session)

Workshop Session: Morning (8:00 – 12:30)
The Cadaver Lab is a staple of medical education because nothing simulates human tissue like the real thing. Outside of medical schools, cadaver labs are a rarity, especially for critical care transport providers. FlightBridgeED is excited to offer this limited-capacity opportunity at FAST23. During the Cadaver Lab, students will get human tissue practice for the following skills:
• IO Insertion
• Basic and Advanced Airway Management
• Needle and Surgical Cricothyrotomy
• Pelvic Stabilization
• Chest Decompression
• Finger Thoracotomy
• Chest Tube Insertion
• Suturing and Securing of the Tube
• Escharotomy
• Pericardiocentesis
