Hybrid FBEPocus: Introduction to Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Critical Care
The Hybrid FBEPocus Course is designed for prehospital and critical care providers seeking foundational training in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS). This hybrid offering combines self-paced pre-course learning with a focused 1-day hands-on instructional session, providing practical skills and clinical context for immediate application in the field.
Participants will learn to perform and interpret key POCUS examinations, including lung ultrasound, focused cardiac assessments, eFAST (Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma), and the RUSH (Rapid Ultrasound for Shock and Hypotension) exam. Emphasis is placed on image acquisition, clinical integration, and decision-making in time-sensitive environments.
