This 12-week distributive-hybrid, online course will be an exploration of principles related to critical care transport, safety, resuscitation (including airway), trauma and burns, medical emergencies (including pharmacology), and special populations. This course is delivered in partnership with Lake Regions EMS and Life Link III and is supported by current, evidence-based medical facts that allow for a multi-purpose application, i.e. certification in an advanced specialty, new and current knowledge acquisition, and clinical practice application. The course is delivered via the FlightBridgeED University Emerge LMS over 12 weeks. The course will be delivered in weekly blocks, with discussion posts education modules, research paper evaluation, test-taking strategy, and periodic knowledge assessment sessions within each week. Each week will be self-paced, with required participation on weekly discussion boards. All discussion boards will be compulsory to pass this course. This course fulfills all requirements for the state of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Services Critical care endorsement for initial and recertification.
There will be an 8-hour post-course hands-on lab day that will cover the following

2. Advanced Airway Management & S.A.L.A.D Techniques
3. Surgical Airway Simulation
4. Advanced Hemodynamics and IABP Therapy
