The College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation and FlightBridgeED, LLC Announce Strategic Alliance

[Pretty Bay, Malta & Bowling Green, KY, USA] – The College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation (CoROM) and FlightBridgeED, LLC are excited to announce a strategic alliance through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This partnership aims to enhance educational resources, streamline recruitment efforts, and improve access to advanced academic degrees while fostering collaborative projects that leverage the strengths of both organizations. Announced during National EMS Week in the USA, this alliance highlights the significant impact it will have on EMS education globally.

Under the MOU, CoROM and FlightBridgeED will jointly revise existing curriculum materials and online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs. CoROM will contribute subject matter experts (SMEs) for curriculum design and content creation, while providing FlightBridgeED access to its curriculum materials to develop new content. Additionally, CoROM will promote the use of FlightBridgeED’s continuing education materials, making them eligible for university credit under the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) guidelines.

FlightBridgeED will collaborate with CoROM to review and enhance the Bachelor of Science Paramedic curriculum. They will offer production and post-production services for content creation, work with CoROM-appointed SMEs to develop new program materials and encourage FlightBridgeED users to pursue academic degrees with CoROM.

Eric Bauer, President & CEO of FlightBridgeED, LLC, stated, “We are thrilled to formalize this strategic partnership with CoROM. By combining our expertise and resources, we aim to elevate educational opportunities and empower healthcare professionals in remote and offshore settings. The importance of providing a pathway for EMS providers to obtain academic degrees cannot be overstated.”

John R. Clark, Executive Dean of the College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying, “This alliance is a significant step forward in our mission to provide high-quality education for providers working in austere, remote and resource limited environments.
